- Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the rail and transit discipline team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of rail and transit projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Collaborate with project managers to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in rail and transit engineering, staying abreast of industry trends, standards, and best practices.
- Delivery: Serve as a Design Lead or Technical Director on larger and/or strategic projects.
- Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and development within the rail and transit discipline. Sourcing the right talent to build a strong and diverse team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other discipline leaders and departments to ensure seamless integration of rail and transit components within larger projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards in the rail and transit sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (15 years) in rail and transit engineering.
- Proven track record in project management and team leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of multi-modal transportation design standards and regulations.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- Experience in business development and proposal preparation.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or relevant certifications preferred.
