Serving both the domestic and international sectors for over 45 years, we bring a solid and innovative approach to client satisfaction.If you have a strong work ethic, are driven and want to be part of a team that provides growth and a collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you.YOUR ROLEAs a Chassis/Trailer Mechanic, you will complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the GT Group fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and taking the necessary repairs.You will support the truck maintenance team in:
  • Performing all levels of preventive maintenance services on chassis and trailers, including inspections, break work, electrical, tire changes, etc.
  • Conducting diagnostics, preventative and scheduled repairs;
  • Testing systems and components to isolate faults;
  • Notifying Shift Leader of any other needed repairs;
  • Shunting and moving equipment in and out of maintenance facility for repairs;
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area;
Note: This Job Description may not encompass the entire scope of this role, as other duties maybe assigned by management.What we are looking for
  • Fluent in French;
  • DEP in a related field is preferred.
  • PEP card is required;
  • ABS and troubleshooting experience;
  • Must be fluent in French;
  • Experience in a similar work environment is preferred;
  • Known for your problem-solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team
  • Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness
  • Ability to multitask and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
