Spectrum Resource GroupJOB SUMMARY: The Integrated Vegetation Management Technician is responsible for promoting awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices on behalf of our clients and collects data regularly in order to monitor, manage and report on the state of the invasive species in a defined area.This is a seasonal position with work expected from early May to late September or early October.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Inventory and control vegetation (native/invasive) throughout BC and Alberta.Select and implement appropriate management and control practices.Promote awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices to the public on a day-to-day basis.Collect and interpret vegetation population data and monitor control efficacy.Working outdoors. Work localities include highway and resource road rights-of-way, oil and gas and utility infrastructure, facilities and sub-stations.Shift work ranging in length.Operation of ATV’s and pick-up trucks on a daily basis on various road conditions.Position will require travel.Brush saw and chainsaw operation.Comply with applicable federal, provincial, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with the Company’s culture of safety and employee ownership.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
