Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:The position does require the successful applicant to have experience in wound care, IV initiation and medication administration, IV oral intramuscular and subcutaneous. Preferred Qualifications:Previous Connect Care (Rural Nurse), Labour and Delivery and post-partum experience or a willingness to train is a must. As this facility cares for a variety of clients experience or training in palliative care is beneficial. The following is also preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Heart Surveillance (FHS) training in LEAD II.
