- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement engineering strategies that align with company objectives and fuel long-term growth.
- Team Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to four engineering managers, creating clarity, alignment, and motivation across product lines.
- Lean Champion: Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, optimizing processes and reducing waste across all engineering functions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and service to ensure alignment, communication, and successful project outcomes.
- Project Oversight: Direct engineering initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Innovation Driver: Identify opportunities to improve designs, reduce costs, and elevate product quality while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track performance and present updates and recommendations to senior leadership, highlighting results and opportunities for improvement.
- Talent Development: Assess skills, close gaps, and promote a culture of high performance within your teams.
- Experience: 10+ years in progressive engineering roles, with at least 5 years leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related); a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Leadership: Strong communicator with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Lean Expertise: Deep understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Project Management: Skilled in managing complex, multi-product line projects with competing priorities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
- Organizational Agility: Experience in matrixed or multi-line product organizations is considered an asset.
- This position operates in both office and warehouse settings.
- Requires a balance of sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity needed to operate standard office equipment.
