- Deliver IV infusion therapy as part of a specialized clinical program for patients receiving IV medications including, but not limited to, IV iron, IV biologics, and IV bisphosphonates.
- Assess individual patient needs and develop tailored care plans
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and health counseling
- Manage potential infusion reactions in collaboration with the NP, adhering to clinical protocols. This may include, but not be limited to, anaphylaxis, bronchospasm, rash, vasovagal reactions, and anxiety.
- Triage acute concerns, offer anticipatory guidance, and coordinate care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
- Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of clinical protocols and medical directives
- Uphold safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing practices
- Accurately document and communicate using EMRs and other digital tools
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Registered Nurse (RN) designation in Ontario, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- BScN - Required
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an Emergency setting (preferably in public or private healthcare settings)
- Emergency or trauma care experience - Required
- Expertise in IV management/therapy - Required
- Experience in IV infusion programs - Strong asset
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different clinical settings
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ACLS certification
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and digital health platforms
