Our culture has been shaped by the passion and integrity of our people.Join Home Trust as a Team Leader, Deposits Operations, reporting to Maryam Musa (Manager, Deposit Operations) and be part of our talented and growing team!About the role:The team leader's mandate is to provide the team members with coaching and development to ensure optimal quality and productivity. Support the Management Team with building relationships with our key internal and external partners. Ensures that customer requests are completed timely, accurately, and according to legal, compliance and regulatory requirements and that internal service level are met. Develops and presents periodic statistical and status reports to management; prepares quantitative and qualitative information. This role provides subject matter expertise with compliance, regulatory and risk parameters to the team and provides assistance to senior staff.Team Management, Team Building & Employee Development
  • Manage and prioritize the daily activities/workload of the team to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Provide coaching feedback and guidance through monthly huddles, quarterly and annual performance reviews
  • Resolve problems and client/broker related escalated issues
  • Effectively partner with key internal and external partners to resolve escalations
  • Identify and recommend methods to improve operations efficiency, service, and quality
  • Monitor workflow queues and dashboards to ensure efficiency in achieving individual and team targets
  • Participate in on-going training/cross-training plan emphasizing the employees continued development while identifying training opportunities
Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management, as necessary
  • Ensure all monthly quality review and productivity reports are reviewed and completed to meet agreed targets
  • Support year-end tax processing activities to meet CRA, Revenue Quebec and regulatory requirements
Risk and Compliance Management:
  • Adherence to regulatory, legislative and compliance requirements consistent with industry standards while striving to minimize any risk to the organization
  • Ensures that correspondences are completed timely, accurately and in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Provide input to the documentation of processes as related to Deposit Operations
  • Assist the ongoing process of risk identification and mitigation through consultation with management
  • Support the internal and external audit process
  • Act only within specifically delegated authority
Project Management and Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Act as a resource on User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support project implementation with our partners as required
  • Identify & recommend opportunities for continuous process improvements and product developments
  • Liaise with other HTC departments to implement new efficiencies that are cross-functional
  • Keep up to date on industry and compliance trends; recommends and implements changes to HTC internal processes as needed
  • Act as a change agent and support effective change management principles
What we’re looking for:Formal Education:
  • University degree in related area or discipline
  • Additional accreditation(s), certification(s) in Leadership, Customer Service are strong assets
Related Experience:
  • 5-7 years of previous People Leadership/ Management experience
  • Experience in the Financial Industry is strongly preferred.

What you can expect - pay & process:
  • Expected base salary range is $60,000 - $78,000 , plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance.
