Aquatic Programmer/Lifeguard (Leadership Role)

- Monitor and organize equipment, plan, implement and evaluate aquatic programs, adjust the aquatic schedule and assess clients’/residents’ needs for successful participation.
- Monitor the general operation and cleanliness of the pool facility, record and report relevant observations of client’s/resident’s progress and behaviour, provide supervision, train volunteers and presents and/or participate in program/practice meetings and in services.
- Graduation from a recognized post secondary recreational program plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- National Lifeguard Pool Option Certificate.
- CPR-C Basic Rescuer Certificate, Standard First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience as an Aquafit Instructor is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to teach.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
