Job DescriptionOverviewJoin Candu Energy Inc., an AtkinsRéalis company, and play a critical role in delivering engineering excellence for nuclear power generation. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Stationary Equipment), you will be part of a high‑performing engineering team within a matrix organization, contributing to complex and innovative nuclear projects that support safe, reliable, and efficient energy infrastructure.Your Role

To develop mechanical equipment technical specifications, data sheets, tender packages, and vendor interfaces.
To perform mechanical design, review, sizing, and selection of stationary equipment for nuclear steam plants and balance‑of‑plant systems.
To collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support plant layouts, specifications, testing procedures, and commissioning plans.
To provide technical guidance to clients on design, operations, and maintenance for large nuclear projects.
To support project execution through progress monitoring, manufacturing and commissioning support, and design verification reviews.
To conduct technical meetings, prepare detailed reports, and perform site inspections and testing activities.
To assess supplier capabilities, review procurement packages, and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.

About You

Ability to apply advanced mechanical engineering expertise in the design and engineering of stationary equipment for complex process or nuclear facilities.
Proficiency in relevant Canadian and international codes and standards for pressure equipment and nuclear applications.
Aptitude for leading technical evaluations, reviewing engineering documentation, and sealing design deliverables as a licensed Professional Engineer.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and client teams.
Strong aptitude for technical communication, including report writing and client presentations.
