
Canada Credit Risk Senior Officer, Senior Vice President

- Serves as the single point of contact for franchise-level credit risk matters relating to the businesses operating in the country, and for providing risk management partnership to internal stakeholders.
- Represents the interests of Citigroup as a whole, partnering with the CRO, with focus on credit risk management and regulatory matters, including the fulfillment of credit risk-related OSFI requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the timely escalation and resolution of franchise-level credit risk issues.
- Serves as Country's lead risk manager for franchise level credit risk issues.
- Attends the Country Coordinating Committee to monitor and address aggregate risk issues.
- Ensures the risk oversight at the legal vehicle and subsidiaries level especially when used by more than a single product group.
- Identifies and co-champions cross sector/product utilities to deliver synergies and improve quality of risk management support.
- Coordinates identification, sharing and vetting of common risk concerns and sensitivities and develop coordinated solutions as appropriate (e.g. adverse developments in local regulatory and political landscape, deterioration in industry lending practices, etc.)
- Facilitates/coordinates responses to inquiries/requests from regulators, ensuring compliance with credit risk-related OSFI requirements (e.g. B-2 Large Exposure Limit requirements).
- Responsible for review and analysis of the monthly IFRS9 submissions.
- Ensures annual ICAAP/stress testing submissions are completed on time and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Acts as focal point for best practice and knowledge sharing across Business.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- 10+ years of experience
- Advanced degree (e.g. JD, MBA) preferred
- Expertise of laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive Highly motivated
- Knowledge of OSFI regulatory requirements and credit risk/IFRS9 related regulations preferred.
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
