Operate asphalt distributor truck to apply tack coat or prime coat to road surfaces
Adjust spray bars, pumps, valves, and gauges to ensure accurate material application
Use winch to load and haul equipment and move heavy loads
Conduct daily inspections, routine maintenance, and safe operation of the distributor truck and related equipment
Assist paving crews with general labor tasks when required
Follow all safety protocols, traffic control procedures, and company standards
Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate work
Maintain accurate logs of material usage, equipment conditions, and daily activities

Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract
Must have experience operating asphalt distributor truck, winch truck or similar heavy equipment is an asset
Strong understanding of asphalt placement and road construction processes
Rigging and hoisting experience
Experience with jeeps and boosters
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Dependable, safety‑focused, and able to work effectively within a team

Work Conditions:Field-based position from May to November 2026Flexibility to work on projects across Alberta (travel required)Shift rotations of 10–14 hours per day, including nights and overtimeLiving-out allowance of $140 per day to help with accommodation costsPreference for candidates with an RV or trailer, as camp areas with hookups will be providedAdditional InformationLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
