Responsibilities:
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure reliability, safety, product quality, and plant efficiency.
- Plan, specify, procure, install, and launch tooling and equipment required for production.
- Manage changes to tooling and equipment as necessary.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
- Document all processes to ensure clarity and continuity.
- Design fixtures and implement Poka-yoke principles to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment to maintain operational excellence.
- Post-secondary school certificate, diploma, or degree in an Engineering program or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, with expertise in PLC, electrical, and robot systems.
- Proficiency in automation systems and experience with SPC, GD&T, metal stampings, die design, and machine design.
- Hands-on experience with assembly weld fixtures in a production setting.
- Expert in PLC programming (Allen Bradley 5000, 500), HMIs, Servo configuration, Barcode Scan, SCADA Transactions, Network configuration, and Vision Systems.
- Labview programming skills.
- CAD competency - read and understand drawings and blueprints.
- Evaluate product specifications and mechanical data.
- Understanding and applying lean principles: 5s, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Experience in manufacturing-related project management.
