- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of internal controls and cybersecurity improvement projects as part of Ontario One Call's broader digital transformation.
- Oversee implementation of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application-level controls to strengthen system integrity, change management, access control, and data protection.
- Drive cybersecurity enhancements, including policy updates, vulnerability management, endpoint security, identity and access management, and incident response readiness.
- Coordinate internal and external audit readiness efforts and track remediation activities.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, operations, and vendors to align security and control frameworks with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and COBIT frameworks.
- Lead risk assessments, identify control gaps, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop project plans, schedules, KPIs, and progress reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards, including Access for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and data privacy requirements.
Must Haves:
- 7+ years experience leading and overseeing program strategy development from inception through to project close-out and any required transition to operations, business planning, benefits identification, and organization funding requests for I&IT programs.
- 7+ years experience analyzing program and organization's environments to identify potentials risks and issues; articulates and prioritizes issues and risks to senior executives; recommends mitigation strategies to decision-makers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
- 7+ years experience implementing and overseeing cybersecurity initiatives and IT General Controls (ITGCs), including access management, change management, data protection, and alignment with recognized frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- 7+ years experience directing stakeholder consultation, facilitation, and consensus building; communicates technical risks in clear business terms and provides program, portfolio, and project reporting to multiple stakeholders.
