PCH is seeking an Executive Director, Wellbrook Place West to support the Partners Community Health team. Reporting to the Director of Long-Term Care Operations Quality and Risk; the Executive Director of Wellbrook Place West would lead and oversee the operations within their licensed scope. This position would ensure the care, well-being and experience of the residents and their families in accordance with legislative requirements and manage issues in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality, and others, as appropriate. This role will ensure the development of diverse and inclusive teams to support strong decision making and foster a culture of belonging to better serve our people, residents, and community. In addition, this position would also lead and oversee the social and recreational programs for all LTC residents at Wellbrook and would work closely with the Executive Director of Seniors Hub and the Director of Support Services, creating a sense of community and belonging as well as overseeing the effective on-site provision of quality support services.Key Responsibilities:LTC Operations ManagementProvides overall leadership and oversight for the effective management and operations of LTC West including the administration, planning, directing and coordinating of all activities and dutiesOversees policies and procedures that support quality services and comply with PCH LTC policies, relevant legislation, Ministry of Long-Term Care standards and guidelines and Accreditation standardsProvides leadership in the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of strategic plans, goals, and objectives of the communityPromotes a Centre-wide continuous quality improvement environment with a view to enhancing all aspects of the Centre's services and programsEnsures an effective Centre-wide risk management program is maintained and adhered toReviews, responds, and ensures action is taken, where necessary, on all inspection reportsSupports the negotiation of contracts for services such as pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray etc. and collaboratively monitors quality with the Medical Director and Director, Clinical QualityParticipates in the recruitment and selection of the appointment of the Medical Director and attending physicians to ensure high quality medical services for the residentsOversees workforce planning and scheduling for both LTC East and West; ensures adequate staffing and support within each LTC towerResource ManagementEnsures adequate and appropriate staffing to provide high quality services to residents and clients within the community. Hires, deploys, coaches, develops, and evaluates a management team to ensure a strong, effective, and efficient multi-disciplinary teamSupports the development and implementation of an effective internal budgeting, expenditure, inventory control system for the community and efficient and responsible use of resourcesResident CareOversees care and support operations that impact the resident experience. Lead transformative care initiatives to create and sustain an exceptional resident experience and a culture focusing on innovation, clinical service optimization, collaboration with key partners and exceptional quality outcomesMaintains regular dialogue with the Resident & Family Council and family members and ensures that resident and family concerns are addressed in a timely manner and ensures that the Long-Term Care Home Act & regulations are followed accordinglyInfection ControlProvides leadership and best practices to infection control measures to be put in place within the LTC (enhanced hygiene, organize cohorts of staff to prevent contamination across floors and between teams)Oversees audits to verify staff members to follow the strictest infection prevention stepsLTC Administrative Services Oversight/ Resident ProgrammingOversees support services (e.g., food services) have been administered appropriately and is aligned with the LTC actProvides oversight for the effective development and management of a broad range of social, recreational activities for seniors to enhance their physical, emotional and mental well-being and develop an active and healthy lifestyleQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Science of Nursing (Preferred)Master in business, healthcare, or nursing leadership (Preferred)A Long-Term Care Administrator (LTCA) certificate (Required)Professional designation in health or social sciences (will be considered)5-10 years of experience in long term care or a community-based organization with management of interprofessional team experience (preferred)
