- Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in planning and executing capital projects, including equipment upgrades and layout changes.
- Ensure safe practices are followed during lifting, installation, or movement of machinery and components.
- Maintain workspace organization and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
- Working with cross-functional team and other trades to ensure projects/work are completed on time and meet specifications.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in overhauls and rebuilding equipment components such as gearboxes, pumps, valves, motors, and conveyors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food quality regulations at all times.
- Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior technicians or Co-op.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workstations, spare part storage, and tool areas.
- Travel to other FGF sites when required to support multi-site engineering activities
- Degree or Diploma certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related Engineering Technology field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- In-depth understanding of safety standards and code compliance
- Experience with safe lifting techniques and operating lifting/rigging equipment (e.g., forklift certification preferred).
- Willingness and ability to provide after-hours and weekend on-call support as part of a rotating schedule or emergency response protocol
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A vehicle is required to travel between company sites
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts/weekends based on the company business needs
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret basic schematics for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
