- Ensuring safety needs are given top priority in work planning, identifying critical risks in the planning process and ensuring appropriate controls are in place so work can be performed safely and effectively
- Identifying and planning all maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability, reviewing work within the required scheduling period while considering asset criticality, regulatory requirements, repairability, severity, and safety impact, including project maintenance work
- Prioritizing the accountable area and ensuring work is fully planned, with all required resources, materials, and specialized tooling identified and assigned the appropriate status
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication of plans and upcoming maintenance activities, and to support the implementation of appropriate risk management strategies
- Providing performance data demonstrating maintenance results to various departments and recommending system and design changes to improve processes and materials
- Applying shutdown management best practices and scheduling the shipping of repairable items, tracking them until they return to site
- Participating in defect elimination initiatives, safety culture programs, continuous improvement projects, reliability-focused maintenance activities, engineering project work, and review activities related to the area of responsibility
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Journeyperson trade or equivalent technical education in a mechanical discipline, or 2-5 years' experience in a similar industrial setting (mining, processing, or related); a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Uncompromising commitment to working safely and intelligently
- Demonstrated rigor in the application of asset management standards
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite, with effective organizational and time management skills to manage a wide-ranging and priority-changing workload
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, prioritize tasks and common goals, and build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Previous maintenance planning experience and lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training are considered assets.
