- Configure and manage AutoCAD PID applications and projects.
- Customize symbols, lists, and reports to meet project requirements.
- Administer AutoCAD database development.
- Develop project and application-specific work instructions.
- Provide local end-user support and training.
- Maintain audit plans and routines for data integrity and system operation.
- Implement maintenance routines and maintain detailed software documentation.
- Interpret flow diagrams, design packs, or conceptual designs to prepare project drawings.
- Modify drawings to suit client, engineers, and design office management requirements.
- Ensure adherence to drawing office standards and procedures.
- Manage and review drawings within the man-hour budget and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure high-quality and accurate drawings in accordance with applicable standards and codes.
- Self-check drawings to minimize errors.
- Maintain a high standard of end-user training.
- 6-10 years of experience in drafting PFDs and P&IDs using AutoCAD and AutoCAD P&ID.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational, technical, writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
- 5-10+ years of experience as a P&ID designer/process piping designer.
- Experience with AutoCAD PID (preferred) or Smartplant (secondary).
- Experience setting up projects and managing databases (SQLite used).
- Industrial construction experience in mining, oil & gas, nuclear sectors.
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously (3-4 projects).
- Client-facing communication skills.
- Experience customizing database requirements for various projects.
- Nice to have: mining project experience from consulting.
