- Lead the QA strategy, planning, and execution for mobile apps across iOS and Android platforms.
- Manage a hybrid team of manual and automation testers.
- Define test plans, test cases, and regression strategies for new and existing features.
- Ensure thorough testing across different form factors and OS versions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to understand features and edge cases.
- Track and report on quality metrics and defect trends.
- Coach team members, conduct performance reviews, and manage hiring as needed.
- 7+ years of experience in QA, with a strong track record of managing QA teams focused on both manual and automated mobile app testing.
- Proven experience leading QA efforts across iOS and Android platforms, including testing across different form factors and OS versions.
- Strong expertise in manual mobile application testing, with a deep understanding of mobile UX/UI nuances.
- Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks, preferably Appium.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management systems.
- Solid understanding of iOS and Android OS fragmentation and strategies to ensure broad device compatibility.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Must be a resident of Canada and be eligible to work in Canada
- Ability to work during the Pacific Time Zone's regular business hours
- Flexible to attend remote meetings during the evening when required.
- Hands-on experience with Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso.
- Experience with performance and stress testing on mobile devices.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
