Our team embodies a spirit of collaboration, and we believe that every member has the potential to contribute to our ongoing success.POSITION OVERVIEW:Under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor, the position performs a variety of machine operating tasks. These duties include but are not limited to transporting rolls of fabric, reviewing specification sheets, machine, and pre-use inspection setup, and overseeing the auto-weld and auto-seam machines for fabrication filter bags. As required, work on the industrial cutting table. The remaining points are inserted under the duties and responsibilities section.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for fabricating and producing finished goods based on work orders provided by the Shift Supervisor.
  • Transport rolls of fabric from the staging area in the warehouse, to the operating area using pump trucks or hand dollies.
  • Responsible for completing pre-use inspections on machines, prior to setting up a work order at the beginning of each shift. Sign off on appropriate documentation, as required.
  • Review specification engineered drawing and work order(s), to ensure understanding of all specifications to produce finished goods.
  • Obtain accurate measurements by feeding material through roller bars, adjusting proper fittings, setting heat and speed functions accurately and feeding the order through the welder/seamer.
  • Fabricate, label, and assemble filter fabrics into the appropriate bins, ensuring all pieces are together and based on work order to move to the next station.
  • Identify machine challenges and notify Shift Supervisor Manufacturing Manager.
  • Cross train in the cutting department and assist as required.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and compliance with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.
  • Set-up and organize individual work area with designated supplies, forms and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of experience operating industrial machinery.
  • Completion of High School Diploma
  • Skilled trades training is an asset.
  • Experience reading and interpreting specification sheets as well as engineered drawings.
  • Experience with industrial machine setup and welding equipment is an asset.
  • Experience using a computer and an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.
