We are seeking a Purchaser to join our production team in Delta, BC. Our client designs and builds high-performance drilling equipment that powers industries around the world, taking pride in precision, quality, and reliability. In this role, you will ensure the production teams have the materials and components they need, when they need them, while building strong supplier relationships and driving efficiency across our operations. This is a high-impact role designed for a proactive, organized, and confident professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment.This is an in-office role based in Delta, BC.PERKS AND BENEFITS:Competitive salary: $75,000 - $95,000, depending on experiencePerformance-based incentivesComprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)Paid time off and on-site parkingStable, established company with long-term growth plansHigh level of ownership and autonomy in your roleOpportunities for training and career developmentWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Own the end-to-end purchasing process, from supplier sourcing to purchase orders and delivery trackingNegotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to support production schedules and cost targetsProcure materials and components, ideally including welded parts, hydraulic components, and industrial materialsMaintain accurate purchasing data within the ERP system (Business Central preferred)Use Excel to track pricing, lead times, supplier performance, and purchasing trendsCommunicate clearly and professionally with vendors, internal teams, and leadershipSupport production and engineering teams by ensuring the right parts are available at the right timeWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skills - confident on the phone and in emailHands-on experience using ERP systems (Business Central strongly preferred)Advanced Excel skills (tracking, analysis, reporting)A proactive, problem-solving mindset - you don't wait for issues, you prevent themComfortable working independently and taking full ownership of your functionABOUT US:TPD is a leading workforce solutions provider with a mission to help individuals succeed by providing access to opportunities in jobs, careers, and professional development.
