With more than a century of experience and a full suite of integrated services, Aecon is a trusted partner for delivering complex civil projects, including tunnels, transit expansions, airports, ports, highways, and large-scale site development.Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, the MEP Coordinator (Mechanical) will support the coordination of mechanical systems during the design phase, ensuring alignment between engineering disciplines and project requirements.What You'll Do Here:
  • Coordinate mechanical design activities across disciplines.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure design compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Support design development and technical reviews.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Identify design risks and propose mitigation solutions.
  • Ensure consistency and integration of mechanical systems within the overall design.
  • Track design progress and support schedule alignment.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of technical deliverables.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating MEP systems during design phases.
  • Experience in hydroelectric projects is a major asset.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and design principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
Excellent proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project). * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
