- Assembly, repairing and maintaining of nuclear inspection and mock-up equipment.
- Able to manage and care for precision tools and calibrated instruments.
- Participate in equipment testing programs.
- Complete routine housekeeping duties.
- Execute work as per approved documentation (e.g. procedures, route sheets and ‘Inspection & Test Plans’.
- Complete prioritized work requests on time.
- Become a nuclear energy worker (NEW).
- Be willing to travel to vendor and project sites as required. This work may include several weeks of deployment and working in a crew assigned to specific shift work (longer hours, alternate shift start times, and possibly working afternoon or night shift).
- Maintenance of contaminated nuclear tooling and refurbishment activities.

- Demonstrates ability to complete work in conjunction with prescribed documentation, and ability to concurrently complete documented record of work performed.
- Adept with software systems as required for daily administrative tasks as related to reporting/recording work
- Diploma of Collegial studies in mechanical technology or relevant technical experience.
- Fluency in other languages (in particular Korean, Mandarin, Romanian, Spanish, French) will be considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety
- Working experience in mechanical assembly / testing / repair of tooling and shop equipment will be considered an asset
- Experience working with trades is an asset
- Qualifications with lifting, rigging and material handling is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, efficient and effective communication (written and oral) and organization skills are essential.
- Rudimentary knowledge in fusion welding, brazing and/or soldering will be considered an asset
- Rudimentary knowledge of automation and/or robotic control systems will be considered an asset
- Rudimentary knowledge of metrology and/or precision measurement is required

- Demonstrate manual skills and dexterity.
- Acts with initiative and independence under limited direction.
- Have a working knowledge of industrial shop practices.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience an asset.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics, Swagelok training an asset.
- Able to contribute sound judgement, possesses a keen sense of responsibility, and is reliable within carrying out duties.
