- The Justice Technology Services - Digital Design Branch requires one (1) Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with 5 years+ experience for building a modern digital information system and its integration with other internal and external applications.
- The Justice Technology Services - Digital Design Branch requires one (1) Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with 5 years+ experience for building a modern digital information system and it’s integration with other internal and external applications.
- Develop test strategy, test approach and test plan
- Prepare appropriate level test cases for functional / unit testing
- Perform functional / unit testing and document results
- Provide critical expertise and support for test automation (plan, approach and implementation)
- Assist other teams or team members with their related testing activities (e.g. UAT, or recreate production issue)
- Participate in Knowledge transfer
- 7+ years of experience in Testing and Quality Assurance of Cloud-based enterprise scale digital products
- Solid testing experience in API and Integration testing
- Strong QA experience in browser-based digital products
- Knowledge in Accessibility / AODA compliance
- Knowledge in Performance and Stress Test
- Hands-on technical skills & experience in test automation (e.g. using Selenium tool, SoapUI, Postman, etc)
- Have knowledge in test automation engineering practice / process
- Quality Assurance Skills
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants.
- Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, test scripts and test data; documenting software defects and tracking resolutions.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions
- Good analytical, communication skills and ability to work independently and also perform as part of a team.
- Hands on experiences with technologies such as SharePoint, Web Services, .NET Web, HTML, JavaScript
- Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development & Product Management Life Cycle
- Demonstrated experience documenting and tracking testing and issue tracking systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Asana.
- Demonstrated experience in developing test plan, test approach, test scripts / scenarios / cases and test data, and test report; managing life cycle of defect or change request (process, tooling, and communication).
- Hands-on testing experience in API / system integration testing
- Hands-on QA experience in browser-based digital products
- Knowledge in Performance / Stress Test, and non-functional test
- Skilled on test automation (plan, approach and implementation)
- Demonstrated experience documenting, tracking and prioritizing tests and issues (e.g. using JIRA, Azure DevOps Boards, Asana), also managing traceability
- Hands-on technical skills & experience in test automation (e.g. using Selenium tool, SoapUI, Postman, etc), including plan, design, implementation and maintenance of automation suites
- Knowledge on Accessibility / AODA compliance
- Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests
- Strong soft skills in communication with business clients, stakeholders, and technical resource
- Strong ability on critical thinking, probing and articulating to uncover exception / unhappy scenarios and drive product quality from requirement stage
- Ability to balance and rationalize quality requirement and schedule conflict
- Ability to coordinate with system or business partners for end-to-end integration tests
- Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations.
