- Operational Supervision: Supervise and support Credit operations to ensure the team achieves effective collections of accounts receivable, and facilitates sales transactions through timely order release, while maintaining consistent oversight of departmental bad debt exposure.
- Risk Escalation & Resolution: Primary escalation point for delinquent accounts and periodic/annual credit reviews; collaborate with business units to determine resolutions and provide risk-mitigation recommendations to Senior Management for high-exposure accounts.
- Performance Monitoring & Upskilling: Monitor staff collection activities and metrics to proactively reconcile internal issues; upskill the team through high-performance coaching and mentoring on financial theory to move them from "task completion" to "independent judgment"
- Personnel Management & Environment: Responsible for training, planning, and conducting performance evaluations while promoting a positive, professional work environment through effective staff communication and strong functional relationships
- Portfolio Management (Tactical Support): Manage an account portfolio by liaising with customers to collect receivables, reviewing Aged Trial Balances, reconciling account balances, and approving credit holds within established guidelines.
- Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in accounts receivable, or credit and collections.
- Active enrollment in the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) program through the Credit Institute of Canada is required.
- Refined analytical skills to perform reconciliations and validate information.
- Intermediate computer and technical skills; Microsoft office with a focus on Excel and Google Workspace with a focus on Google Sheet.
- Intermediate project/process management skills are required to participate in small to medium scope projects.
- Refined time and project management skills.
- We offer a Hybrid work schedule. You will be in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, and can work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance).
