(70%) Coordinate, Drive and Park Tractors and Trailers
- Inspect the yard to identify and document vehicle defects and appropriately communicate any findings to management
- Follow all safety and operational policies, especially in regards to chocking, safety cones and dock signal lights
- Complete all Domino’s and legally required safety checks
- Obtain tractor and trailer list from the Delivery and Service office team to make records of:
- Odometer readings
- Hub readings
- Engine hour readings
- Ensure loaded trailers are within regulated temperature parameters
- Ensure trailers are docked and moved as needed by the Warehouse
- Assist with the unloading of trailers as needed
- Reposition tractors and trailers in the yard as needed
- Shuttle tractors and trailers to lease company as needed
- Coordinate washing and cleaning of trailers
- Assist with backhauls as needed
- May be assigned to assist Drivers on designated route(s) to deliver product to Domino's Pizza stores as a team
- Represent the Domino’s brand proudly by following uniform standards and utilizing all required PPE
- Attend scheduled safety meetings, team meetings, and training sessions
- Follow all safety rules, DROP Manual guidelines, customer delivery standards, federal, and provincial regulations
- Ensure all required PPE and tools are loaded prior to dispatch
- Complete all safety tests in a timely manner
- Comply with Ministry of Transportation, including electronic logs
- Verify log of driving activities within 10 days
- Take accountability and responsibility for assigned trucks and the product loaded in the trailers
- Complete all applicable paperwork including DVCR, Trip Sheet, and Load Assessment Forms
- Assist with Warehouse duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid AZ License
- 6 months of verifiable CMV driving experience required, 1 year preferred
- Knowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Possess a good working knowledge of Canadian geography, with the ability to navigate and coordinate routes
- Mechanical repair knowledge for trucks and trailers is an asset
- High attention to detail with the ability to count, check and confirm quantities
- Proactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issues
- Team oriented and safety minded
- Available to work shifts that may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day period
- Able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds on occasion
- Able to perform heavy pushing/pulling of product
- Able to balance on ladders, on top of platforms, and equipment
- Able to work in refrigerated conditions or extreme temperatures as well as work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery and vibration, both indoors and outdoors
