IntroductionDovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Engineer, Industrial Engineering, located in Dartmouth, NS.This is a permanent full-time position.FunctionOur client is seeking an Engineer, Industrial Engineering to work in the Industrial Engineering team. This role will be to execute and make improvements to production procedures, processes, and controls. The Engineer will be expected to execute and demonstrate excellence in elements of the role profiles for all Industrial Engineering work scopes and be interchangeable at any time to align with scope demand.Key Responsibilities:►Measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and maintaining process excellence.
►Lead stakeholder engagement/ change activities including leading change to improve production procedures, processes, and controls.
►Execution and coaching of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools such as: Root cause analysis, SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, FMEA, Fishbone, etc.
►Perform process improvement projects using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control principles.
►Execute and implement key elements of Industrial Engineering's work breakdown structure:
  • 5S standardization.
  • Standard operating procedures.
  • Performance metrics.
  • Capacity analysis.
  • Workplace standards.
  • Total productive maintenance.
  • Overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Process improvement.
►Build relationships & communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.Requirements
  • 4-8 years' work experience in complex industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing process assessment and development.
  • Demonstrated experience using Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tool sets in an industrial workplace setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships both with and among team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Education:
  • Recognized Degree in Engineering - Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or similar.
  • Accredited or eligible for accreditation with Engineers Nova Scotia - P. Eng.
  • “Change Management” or “Leading Change” certification, or equivalent training or experience.
