Orthopedic Surgeon (office based practice)Our Client in Vancouver, British Columbia is a private physician-owned clinic that promotes a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to orthopaedic, spine and musculoskeletal pain. They provide a friendly, professional, and compassionate environment for patients and physicians. The clinic has ultrasound and fluoroscopy, and is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC in Procedural Pain ManagementThey are currently recruiting for an Orthopedic Surgeon (office based practice) to join their team. The Orthopedic Surgeon will function as a key member of the team, responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal pain through conservative and interventional treatments. The Orthopedic Surgeon will have access to interventional pain management and regenerative medicine treatments and will also have access to a team of musculoskeletal experts who can help provide holistic care and rehab services pre and post surgical interventions.Job Duties
  • Providing a detailed and thorough consultation and exam of patients.
  • Requisitioning investigative exams to assist with a diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Providing ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided interventional medical services to patients.
  • Providing Non-operative orthopedic Care to Kinetix patients.
  • Development of orthopedic initiatives including partnerships with existing orthopedic practices to provide pre and post surgical non-operative care
  • Participating in the triage of patients into the appropriate clinical assessment stream, if necessary.
  • Providing patients of the Company with information relating to extended health insurance, MSP, and any other records or forms relating to extended health generally
  • Attending to urgent requests for services in a timely manner.
  • Providing procedural reports to patients and the company in a timely manner
  • Complying with the expected standards of practice for providing ultrasound guided fluoroscopic guided procedures as outlined by the Company and Medical Director
Requirements * Full of Provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Member of (or eligible for membership of) The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Membership of (or eligible for) Canadian Medical Protective Association.
  • Member of or eligible for the BC college of physicians and surgeons
RemunerationFee for service payment (provincial government fee for service schedule). 70:30 overhead split for MSP clinical billings (physician receives 70%, clinic receives 30%). 50:50 overhead split for private services (physician receives 50%, clinic receives 50%). Estimate annual salary of around $368,000. No additional benefits offered.Additional information
  • Full time (32 hours per week), permanent, year-round position.
