- Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing systems and accessories.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications to determine the design/layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and wall and floor fittings using measuring tools, such as levels and plumb bobs.
- Cut and core holes in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings using hand and power tools.
- Measure, cut, thread and connect pipes using hand and power tools or machines, such as pipe cutters, and threading machines.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment, according to the specifications and requirements of the plumbing system.
- Check pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges and other specialized testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot plumbing system problems and identify appropriate solutions.
- Support the growth and development of company culture
- Work alone or in a groups
- Teach apprentices
- mechanical rooms/boiler work would a bonus
- Performs other duties as required
- Minimum 5 years of working as a plumber
- Proof of Red Seal/ Journeyman
- Knowledge of Ferederal/ Provincial plumbing codes
- Gass B ticket
- Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours a day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kg
- Possesses and maintains necessary tools, equipment and protective gear
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with health & safety regulations, procedures and company policies
- Adheres to project specifications and timelines ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Work in conjunction with crew members to complete field projects or tasks
- Displays high levels of motivation, energy, and forward-thinking
