We have an “entrepreneurial” mindset which encourages all our team members to use their own “creativity” and “out of the box” thinking to come up with solutions and new ideas.OverviewPosition: Industrial Electrician / Maintenance ElectricianLocation: TorontoPay rate: $42.00 - $45.00/hr. to (depending on experience and location) + applicable shift & additional certification shift premiumsPLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; weight scales VFD, Servomotors and network communications experience.Responsibilities
  • Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.
  • Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems.
  • Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.
  • Previous Food industry experience preferred.
  • Comply with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Service, clean, and perform preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment.
  • Continually improve equipment function via design improvements.
  • Ensure that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A is required.
  • 3-5 years of industrial, electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • General knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist all tradespeople as required.
  • Problem solving skills and good communication skills are required.
  • Comfortable using computers.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
  • Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • You really enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where every day can bring new and unique challenges.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday.
  • Refrigeration Operator license an asset.
