This is your chance to contribute directly to the safe, responsible, and sustainable development of mining projects across Canada. As a Junior to Intermediate Geotechnical / Mine Waste Engineer, you will support meaningful work that shapes communities, environments, and the world around us.
Posting locations: Mississauga, Ottawa, Thunder Bay.Your Impact
- Conduct geotechnical site investigation fieldwork to support mine development and closure planning.
- Interpret field and laboratory data to inform engineering recommendations.
- Perform stability, seepage, and liquefaction analyses for tailings and mine waste facilities.
- Contribute to designs and operational assessments for tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and water management systems.
- Support development and execution of mine waste management plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of mine waste systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare or contribute to technical reports, design documentation, and engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with geologists, environmental scientists, water resources engineers, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Provide technical input through all project phases, from planning to construction monitoring.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering (or equivalent).
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical or mine waste engineering.
- Knowledge of geotechnical principles, dam safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with geotechnical modelling tools (e.g., GeoStudio suite).
- Eligibility for or registration as a P.Eng.
- Experience with tailings or hydro dam design considered an asset.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Master's degree considered an asset.

MB & ON: $67,000 - $90,000
