This is a full-time, permanent role supporting both tax reorganization and litigation work, offering structured onboarding, training, and ongoing mentorship.About the RoleThis position provides direct legal assistant support to lawyers across both tax and litigation matters, with a primary focus on tax reorganizations. You will work closely with Partners and Associates and play a key role in supporting high-quality legal work while maintaining organization, accuracy, and professionalism.Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal assistant support for tax reorganization and litigation files.
- Prepare, review, and format legal and corporate documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain corporate records and assist with tax reorganization documentation.
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and file organization.
- Liaise professionally with lawyers, clients, and internal team members.
- Work with legal software including HotDocs, MinuteBox, and Clio (training provided).
- Adapt to changing priorities and support lawyers with varying working styles.
- Additional administrative based tasks as required.
- CORES 2 Legal Assistant accreditation is required (absolute must).
- Mid to senior-level experience preferred (approximately 5-7 years), though strong candidates with less experience will be considered.
- Corporate law experience is required.
- Tax reorganization experience is an asset; training will be provided.
- Litigation experience is not required; willingness to learn is important.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Mature, adaptable, and professional approach.
- Comfortable learning new technology and legal systems.
- Positive attitude with a strong interest in ongoing learning and development.

- Potential for hybrid/flexibility after the initial 6-8 months, based on performance and trust. Flexible start time (e.g., 7:30-3:30, 8:00-4:00, 8:30-4:30).
- Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
