
RMA Technician - GPU Returns Debug

- Receive, verify, and log incoming RMA GPU PCBAs, ensuring alignment with internal records.
- Perform visual inspections for damage, contamination, and mechanical defects; mount units in test systems as needed.
- Conduct initial triage using diagnostic tools and manufacturing test suites; perform basic electrical and functional screening.
- Assign disposition codes (e.g., Scrap, Rework, Recovery, Return to Customer) and route units for further failure analysis with detailed notes.
- Maintain chain of custody for all returned materials and ensure accurate documentation in internal FA databases.
- Attach supporting evidence such as high-resolution photos and test data; uphold data integrity, traceability, and confidentiality.
- Follow established RMA and FA triage procedures; identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support team training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Install and maintain test stations; perform corrective and preventive maintenance as needed.
- Manage inventory of lab and test equipment.
- Experience in electronics repair, triage, or manufacturing quality inspection, including RMA handling.
- Solid understanding of PCB assemblies, ESD protocols, and basic electronics troubleshooting.
- Skilled in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
- Proficient in documenting technical findings, database entry, and report generation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to SOPs.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks; able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments and GPU architecture.
- Experience with GPU boards or complex PCBAs; knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Basic soldering and rework skills (IPC-7711/7721 certification preferred).
