- Disassembles vehicles to expose and assess damage. Documents repairs and parts needed. 15 • Painting of various assets and or components as needed
- Sandblasting of equipment and components; taping and other prep work as needed
- Mixing of paints as needed
- Responsible for all painting equipment cleaning and maintenance, guns, compressors, paint and sand blast booths
- Mechanical knowledge with “hands on approach” as needed
- Maintain accurate computer and written documentation and compliance logs
- Clean, degrease and prime both component parts and finished products. Paint completed products with an automotive finish. Maintain a high quality paint standard throughout.
- Assembles and disassembles components and parts as needed
- Works with parts department for the availability of job related materials
- Ensures all aspects of painting and sandblasting areas are in compliance
- Provide inventory and inspection reports to management as requested Other Duties as Assigned
- Good communication skills
- Employee must exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing assigned duties Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in commercial painting including trucks, trailers, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Physical demand requirements for heavy work • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment and machinery including various types of painting equipment, blasting equipment assorted hand tools, etc. • Working knowledge of tools of trade (including welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools)
