- Purchase Order & Inventory records are maintained accurately to support decisions by Management, AP & Sales.
- Prepare and communicate purchase orders for all IJS purchases.
- Track the status of open purchase orders with suppliers and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Identify gaps in the supply chain and formulate strategies to mitigate short-term and long-term risk to ensure operational continuity.
- Understand current and future product demand in concert with the Commercial Team.
- Maintain all required supplier documentation, perform yearly reviews on all major and critical suppliers
- Manage supplier qualifications/ onboarding, and part-equivalence processes; involve engineering and quality teams as required.
- Maintain all material records required to support ISO 13485 Quality Management System.
- Communicate the latest drawing packages and manage production transition at suppliers
- Contribute to the ongoing development of other departmental processes to ensure Supply Chain dependencies are considered.
- Plan and execute cost reduction opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Supply Chain within the Operations team.
- Quality, R&D and suppliers to resolve quality issues (including managing NCR communication with suppliers)
- PM, R&D, and QA/RA facilitating the sourcing, procurement, and release of new products, while providing ongoing support to the production team, ensuring operational continuity, proactively identifying and solving issues that may impact timelines or efficiency.
- Accounting for the reconciliation of daily receipts and invoicing discrepancies, supporting the timely payment of supplier invoices.
- College Diploma and/or University Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing and/or Logistics.
- 2 – 5 years relevant experience in a regulated industry
- Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset
- Experience with Supply Chain in a scaling organization.
- Methodical and precise in maintaining accurate records
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet timelines
