
Claims Assistant I

- Attribute and assign incoming documents to the appropriate claim for actioning
- Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.
- Process payments on claim files.
- Transcribe data from documents or databases using standardized practices.
- Support projects or new initiatives as requested.
- Assist in the execution of other various support tasks.
- In office component required (minimum 2 days per week)
- College Diploma including business/administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- At least one year of office work experience.
- Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
- Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage workflow efficiently
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
