- Lead all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices on site, applying project-specific and Pomerleau safety standards, OH&S regulations, and electrical codes with employees and trade partners.
- Ensure all electrical materials, equipment, and installations meet project specifications and quality requirements.
- Determine and manage on-site electrical manpower needs and sequencing.
- Provide hands-on leadership-mentoring crews, supporting field teams, and maintaining strong presence on site.
- Collaborate with trade partners, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain alignment.
- Develop and drive the electrical construction schedule to achieve key milestones and completion dates.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to improve efficiency, address issues, and support project excellence.
- Work closely with the Project Manager through all phases of project start-up and execution.
- Represent Pomerleau in coordination meetings with clients and industry partners.
- Maintain up-to-date training and certifications for yourself and the electrical workforce.
- Manage procurement and delivery of electrical materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed to approved drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable electrical codes.
- Oversee electrical inventory and collaborate with Logistics to ensure accurate tracking.
- Keep site documentation organized and current.
- Support project close-out activities and celebrate successful completion with the team.
- 10+ years of experience in electrical construction (industrial, commercial, or heavy civil environments).
- A related electrical or construction diploma, certificate, Red Seal, or degree.
- A proven history of successfully delivering electrical scopes on large or complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, quality control, and cost management.
- Ability to identify issues quickly, evaluate root causes, propose solutions, and lead teams through to resolution.
- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and executing detailed project schedules.
- Solid computer skills, including scheduling and construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of the regional electrical construction market and willingness to work across the area as required.
