- Work with team members to design, deploy and manage complex environments built on Windows and Active Directory, Exchange and Azure infrastructures
- Configure and implement Active Directory site configurations; group policies and local security policies
- Implement and audit of security configurations
- Monitor AD replication and core services
- Facilitate automation and standardization for creation and maintenance of access on network shares
- Document processes and procedures and updated regularly
- Ensure SW patch releases are updated regularly
- Troubleshooting issues utilizing Microsoft best practices
- Utilize testing tools and techniques for problem solving
- Analyzes hardware performance and makes recommendations to senior management
- Utilize and implement analytical tools; i.e. Performance Monitor
- Ensure the integrity of data storage and backup systems
- Ensures software and hardware installs, re-installs, upgrades, moves, changes and relocations are made when necessary and as required
- Resolves problems escalated from Service Desk
- Provide exceptional customer service even when the environment becomes fast-paced or intense
- Providing capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated system(s) Identifying trends or problems
- To ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services
- Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached
- To ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across systems for administration, deployment and monitoring over a range of platforms
- Identifying faults and issues and recommending appropriate paths to resolution, and fixing as appropriate
- Ensuring appropriate contingency procedures are in place for systems and that they are regularly tested
- Managing change control implications for designated systems
- Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
- Travel required to various local sites
- Flexibility in working hours is required to support the 24/7 environment and to comply with assigned change management time windows
- Take on additional responsibilities as required
- Post-Secondary Degree/ Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience and/or training in Server Administration
- MCSA/MCSE or equivalent preferred, CCNA is an asset
- Knowledge of Gaming and Entertainment Industry
- Excellent organization, written and client facing skills
- Experience of the entire project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
- Previous casino/gaming/Payment services experience an asset
- 5+ years Windows 2008à2022 server administration or equivalent
- 5+ years managing Active Directory 2008 and above equivalent
- 3+ years managing Exchange 2013/2016 environment in a multi-server, clustered environment or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands on experience in a complex production environment (multiple sites, 1000+ users)
- 5+ Years of Project Support Experience, Casino experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge or experience in the following areas a plus: application integration with AD, PowerShell scripting, MS SQL, ADSI and WMI, NTFS, DFS, SFTP, VMWare, Microsoft MOM, DNS, TCP/IP and related internal protocols
- Experience with Nutanix Management and Prism
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN Networking, user/group setup, LAN security setup
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP Internetworking, routing and switching management
- Experience of building and maintaining applications in a multiplatform environment (Windows Server and/or Linux environments)
- Good understanding of security issues surrounding systems
- Experience with service threshold monitoring
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience in creating diagrams using Visio
