The Medical Coordinator is responsible for fostering a strong relationship between the clinic and its customers, including patients, staff, funders and referral sources. This is achieved by efficiently providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activity with friendly, enthusiastic and professional service with all patients, team members and external customers.Why Lifemark?

Primary Responsibilities
  • Act an initial point of contact when answering telephone calls, greeting in clinic and visitors upon arrival while providing excellent customer service for all questions or concerns
  • Assist patients with completing paperwork at the clinic to avoid errors and inaccurate information
  • Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments and maintain the patient’s medical record
  • Collect payment at time of service and maintain accurate insurance claims to third party funders
  • Complete data entry and billing for third party funders
  • Provide administrative support to Program Managers, Clinic Director and Care Coordinator Manager
Qualifications & Core Competencies:The ideal candidate will have:
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills specifically in MS Word, Excel and data entry
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a busy and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with a strong overall work ethic
  • Post secondary education in Medical Office Administration or related field considered an asset
  • Previous experience in a physiotherapy or multidisciplinary health clinic considered a strong asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required
