- 5+ years of experience in applying analytics or model development using data in a professional context.
- Significant experience with statistical techniques, data mining, optimization (linear programming), and predictive models.
- Proficiency in hands-on data analysis and modeling using Python.
- Experience with databases and programming languages (SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL) for data manipulation and integration.
- Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an asset.
- Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, and/or GenAI is an asset.
- Advanced degrees (MSc, equivalent, or higher) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- BA/BSc degree in these fields will be considered if coupled with significant industry experience demonstrating proven success in leading complex projects.
- Leadership or management experience, including project management in analytical, ML, or data-driven fields.
- Proven track record in leading teams for end-to-end delivery of advanced analytics, data science, or AI/ML solutions.
- Ability to understand the business significance of data, handle data ambiguity, develop creative analytical solutions, and interpret results from a business perspective.
- Enthusiasm for solving complex problems with various analytical tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in continuing to develop analytical and business development skills.
- Professional services, consulting, or advisory experience is an asset.
