- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI adoption strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation and proof-of-concept to full-scale implementation and value realization in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business, technical, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, compliant, and deliver measurable business impact.
- Promote AI literacy and change management through training, workshops, and communication programs.
- Establish and maintain robust AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure ethical, responsible, and compliant use of AI technologies.
- Catalog AI models and applications in use for fairness, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for AI-related risks, including data privacy, security, and bias.
- Serve as a liaison between business functions, legal, and IT compliance teams to ensure holistic governance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing regular updates on AI strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Foster a culture of responsible AI adoption, encouraging innovation while safeguarding ethical standards and organizational values.
- Represent the company in external AI policy discussions and industry forums as needed.
- Track and maintain dashboards for all AI initiatives, ensuring visibility into project status, milestones, and outcomes.
- Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on project delivery.
- Coordinate across business units, technical teams, and leadership to drive alignment and ensure successful outcomes for all AI initiatives.
- Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives, driving alignment and collaboration across diverse teams.
- 3+ years of experience in working with AI, data science, or technology projects.
- Proven understanding of AI technologies and generative AI.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex AI topics for non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in or with healthcare providers, payers, or life sciences organizations.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA AI/ML guidance).
- Experience in academic research or publishing in AI or healthcare domains.
