Job DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?We’re looking for a talented and passionate Senior Developer to join our team. You’ll be working to develop, maintain and extend existing applications. You will join a very dynamic team that is highly technical and has a great track record of delivering multiple innovative solutions within the organization. This is a hands-on technical role, very independent with an opportunity for growth.The role is responsible to partner IT and Business to assess, research and analyze production issues, technical and system needs, to implement technical solutions that meet Business requirements.WHAT WILL YOU DO?Participate in the technical issue analysis, development, and implementation of application systems. Applies complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.Code for small to large projects/programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical business issuesAssist the DevOps/support teams in various activities, such as troubleshooting high priority implementation issues, production investigations, etc.Provide input and work with other teams in creating new and modifying existing code or infrastructure based on required functionalityDesign and develop code structures to promote reusability across many applicationsReviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.Work as a member of the team to build complex, and highly visible solutions in support of multiple on-Prem and cloud projects.Work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful software design and developmentWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must haveExtensive experience in analyzing, developing, and managing on-prem and cloud level application using Azure, Scala, Kafka, Java, GIT, .net, Python.Professional software development experience with Java, J2EE, REST / Microservices, Linux, AIX, Windows, OCP and SQL databases.Good knowledge on messaging/streaming technologies (MQ, Kafka)Experience using Git and Maven while collaborating with the software development teamAbility to multi-task effectively and provide timely updatesCollaborate closely with stakeholders including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.Experience in front end and backend developmentNice-to-have:JCL knowledge/experience & willing to learn.Work in both OCP, Windows, AIX and Linux environments.Basic knowledge API / Web servicesExperience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.Experience in backend SQL (MySQL, DB2, or Oracle) , DevOps (Jenkins, UCD etc.) and Cloud (Azure, AWS etc.)What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
