Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Position Summary:Reporting to the Associate Director, Admissions and Recruitment, and working in close collaboration with the Master’s Programs Enrolment Director, Academic Directors and with the Admissions team, the incumbent develops and executes the recruitment plan that is aligned with the overall Master’s Programs’ objectives to recruit the best students to our MBA and specialized Master’s programs. The candidate must be skilled in data-driven decision making, and in the use of resources and innovative methods to reach a wide network of prospective students. This role will establish partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to promote the Desautels Master’s programs, ensuring a strong Faculty presence at student recruitment fairs across the world. The The role includes direct recruitment responsibilities, including engaging and interviewing prospective students and supporting them through the admissions journey.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage in student recruitment activities, including communicate with prospective students throughout the admissions cycle (inquiries, advising, follow-ups, yield conversion).
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan for all Master’s Programs. Identify their target market, determine effective approaches and plan annual recruitment activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Participate in and determine the level of participation of the Masters Recruiters in student recruitment and outreach events and activities, nationally and globally, to maintain a strong Desautels presence in target markets.
  • Manage the recruitment budget; ensure that spending aligns with budget allocations and efficient use of resources. Authorize expenditures and ensure compliance with University and Faculty budget priorities.
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, lead the implementation of long-term plans to attain the programs’ recruitment targets and contribute to digital and social media presence, ensuring alignment with the Desautels and McGill brand.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment performance, including enrollment data, market trends, and competitor activity; develop forecasts and projections to inform strategy, resource allocation, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team and directly support applicant engagement to ensure alignment between recruitment objectives and admissions processes; contribute to applicant experience, and provide insights on applicant quality, engagement, and market trends.
  • Supervise and lead a small team of recruiters, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance; conduct annual performance assessments.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and identify new recruitment markets and channels and adjust objectives based on market trends and unforeseen challenges.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills (spoken and written in both English and French), and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of graduate education and recruitment. Client-focused, creative and experienced in fostering relationships with external contacts. Highly organized and must be able to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Proven ability to lead a team. MBA or graduate degree an asset. Demonstrated ability to work in a digital world and PC environment using Microsoft Office and databases. Experience with CRM tools (SLATE, SALESFORCE).
