- Assist the Project Manager in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary drinking water and wastewater projects.
- Demonstrate creativity and judgment in solving project delivery, technical and client challenges.
- Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
- Assist the Project Team in the completion of design deliverables including completing technical reports, preparing technical specifications and tender documents, and coordinating design drawings.
- Coordinate quality reviews of deliverables including checks for conformance with project requirements and objectives, and arranging for senior engineers to review work.
- Support permitting applications for provincial and local regulatory agencies.
- Actively participate in the construction period including completing contract administration tasks, and coordinating site inspection, SCADA application development, testing, start-up, commissioning, and post-construction warranty activities.
- Work with project teams, operations, and senior leadership to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling project scope, managing project schedules, identifying and managing project risk, and controlling budgets. Work collaboratively with operations to track and achieve key financial performance metrics.
- Participate in business development activities including pursuit and proposal development for new drinking water and wastewater projects with both existing and new clients.
- Actively engage in professional development and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant program,
- 4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of Project Management experience and/or education in water resources or wastewater projects
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Progressive experience in the design of drinking water and wastewater projects including treatment, pumping, storage, and related infrastructure.
- A demonstrated aptitude for technical and engineering knowledge.
- Ability to be registered as a P.Eng. or C.E.T. in the province of Ontario.
- Knowledge of industry standards and local municipal standards and guidelines.
- Previous client facing project experience is considered an asset.
