Job Description:Do you hold experience within a dual HR/Payroll role? Our partnered client is actively seeking an HR / Payroll Coordinator supporting the HR Manager with both Finance & HR functions. Confident in your ability to collaborate and solve problems? This is a permanent on-site opportunity located in Toronto (North York)Responsibilities:
  • Processing full cycle payroll using ADP WFN software
  • Prior experience processing hourly, salaried and executive payroll
  • Handle processing of remittances, benefits, ROE's, garnishments for employees pay
  • Keeping an up-to-date employee file for both HR & payroll
  • Assist with new hire orientation including collection of onboarding documents
  • Handling questions from internal employees regarding pay and benefits inquiries
  • Speaking with internal employees regarding their concerns
  • Offer recommendations to solve employee concerns
  • Collaborate with managers to source solutions for employees
  • Develop strategies and employee engagement programs
  • Manage accurate records of employee files
  • Assisting with recruitment including coordination, offer letters and reference checks
  • Assure compliance to internal policies
  • Assures up to date handbook is available at all times for employees
  • Building and implementation of new policies with management
  • Review policies to assure compliance with management
  • Strategize on new methods for employee engagement
  • Working within HR legislation to assure compliance
  • Prepare recognition communications
  • Manage onboarding process including documents and required paperwork for new hire packages
  • Handle employee requests and manage employee relationships
  • Offer support and guidance to employees with internal issues and concerns
  • Assist with training & development
  • Maintaining electronic filing system & personnel documents
Required Skills:
  • 1-3 years experience within an HR role with payroll functions
  • Processing payroll utilizing ADP WFN software is required
  • Ability to manage internal employee requests
  • Experience managing Recruitment process from job posting to onboarding
  • Understanding of Canada Labour Code and ESA regulations
  • University or College Education, preferably within an HR focused course
  • CHRP Designation is an added bonus
  • Strong understanding of Ontario employment laws and best practices
  • Ability to multi-task and work closely with management when required
  • Strong communication skills to roll out new processes when required
  • Ability to manage projects and timelines
