- Lead and mentor a team of 3–5 engineers, supporting their growth and delivery.
- Contribute hands-on to design, implementation, code reviews, deployment, and monitoring.
- Own and evolve the Retail Media External API platform, building shared libraries, SDKs, and tooling to enable consistent, secure, and observable APIs.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap, addressing technical debt and strengthening reusable platform capabilities (e.g., middleware, auth, schema management, observability).
- Partner with Product and domain teams to shape requirements and roadmap, ensuring effective API exposure and clear ownership.
- Lead the shift to a federated API model by coaching teams on best practices and establishing design and review standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, multicultural R&D teams to align systems and promote shared standards.
- Balance product priorities with technical and operational needs, ensuring platform investments deliver business value.
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Experience in managing a software development team, providing regular feedback, mentorship or coaching to software engineers
- You have a rock-solid foundation in Computer Science (data structures, algorithms, software design)
- You are experienced with architecting, developing, and extending large and complex systems.
- A passion for shipping quality high-performance code. You are a problem solver, a fixer, and a creative technologist.
- A demonstrated track record of taking the initiative and acting as a technical lead
- A strong sense of ownership and a dislike for passing the buck
- A strong communicator and a team player who can work efficiently with others
- Experience working with product owners to understand and implement business requirements
