- Provide guidance on Canadian standards, codes, and regulations, particularly for construction in BC, AB, and ON.
- Support internal teams by offering technical insight that enables confident project go/no-go decisions.
- Lead new product design and development, from concept to implementation.
- Develop and maintain technical product documentation, including specifications, approvals, and test reports.
- Coordinate with external engineers and certification bodies for approvals, inspections, and product testing.
- Facilitate third-party site inspections and provide clear technical communication.
- Serve as a technical liaison across teams, translating engineering requirements into actionable guidance for sales, manufacturing, and design.
- Oversee or collaborate with CAD/drafting resources to create or review technical drawings.
- Mentor team members by sharing engineering knowledge and best practices.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in structural or product engineering, preferably within construction or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards.
- Experience with product design, development, and technical documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented culture.
- Experience with construction industry products.
- Hands-on experience with CAD or drafting, or strong experience coordinating with external drafters.
- Experience managing product certifications and testing.
- Exposure to multi-location collaboration across different Canadian regions.
