ROLEWorking at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare in the role of General Maintenance/Trade Specialty, you will,Perform General Maintenance / Trade Specialty dutiesShare in on-call rotationResponsible for repairs to hospital plumbing and mechanical systems in accordance with diagrams, operations manuals and manufacturers specificationsMaintain preventative maintenance scheduled on critical mechanical systems such as chillers, boilers and fan systemsAssist other trades with maintenance activities associated with electrical, mechanical and all related aspects of hospital maintenanceREQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)Ontario Licensed Trades person in a trade as an Electrician, Plumber, Refrigeration and HVAC, etc. Other Ontario Trade Licenses may be consideredREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)5 years recent demonstrated experience in Construction and Maintenance in an industrial / hospital setting (hospital experience is preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of air handling systems, boilers, generators, compressors, is an assetMust complete workload assignments with a high degree of attention to detail and thoroughness throughout areas of assignmentMust be able to prioritize a variety of work assignments, tasks, and dutiesMust be a team playerShow an eagerness and capacity to adapt to changeRegular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this positionMust be self-motivated with the ability to work and complete workload assignments with minimal supervisionProven ability to effectively coordinate construction or internal maintenance projectsMust be able to meet the physical requirements of this position which include lifting, standing, walking and the operation of various equipmentDESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATIONHigh degree of computer literacy (e.g. MS Office and email, computerized maintenance systems, using portable devices, and performing internet technical research)Experience with automation or networked systems (ie.g. nurse call, parking)Familiar with BAS (Building Automation System).ADDITIONAL PERKS AT MAHC

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONLocation: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basisHours of Work: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
