Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.Your impactYou will support safe and efficient surface operations by operating cranes and heavy equipment, enabling critical lifting, material movement, and site activities to run smoothly and safely.As part of our team you will
  • Operate mobile, bridge, and overhead cranes to lift, move, and place equipment and materials
  • Perform pre‑operational inspections, calculate load capacities, and prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and rock trucks
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials
  • Move, load, and unload cargo using proper rigging practices and load charts
  • Complete JHAs, FLRHAs, and other safe work tasks
  • Prepare work areas and maintain a hazard‑free job site
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication
Prerequisites for your success in this role
  • Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator (Unlimited) certification
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar heavy equipment or crane operation role
  • Strong knowledge of rigging, load assessment, and safety procedures
  • Heavy equipment, truck, or bus driving experience (preferred)
