As a Territory Sales Manager, you will sell commercial roofing and building envelope solutions to facilities directors, building owners, school superintendents, plant managers, and government officials across the Guelph, Ontario territory. You will be selling directly to end users who manage large multi-building portfolios and need long-lifecycle, high-performance roofing systems. This role is 75% new business development and 25% administrative duties including quoting and design work. No warm leads or existing accounts are provided — you will prospect and build your pipeline entirely from scratch. This is a newly created position reporting to a Regional Manager. The draw against commissions is $70,000 – $90,000 CAD, plus uncapped commissions.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Year 1 OTE: $105,000 – $110,000 CAD (draw plus quarterly bonuses)
  • Year 3+ OTE: $250,000+ CAD as reps break into significant commission earnings
  • Senior rep average (5+ years): $380,000 CAD
  • Top performers earn $500,000+. Multiple reps earn over $1 million. The top performer in Canada earned over $1.5 million last year.

  • Head Office: United States (no local office)
  • Work arrangement: Field-based / work from home. Majority of time is spent in the field; administrative work is done from the home office.
  • Sales territory: Guelph, Ontario and surrounding area
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday. Expect 60–70 hours per week during the first 1–2 years while building the business. This tapers significantly as the territory matures.
  • Overnight travel: Minimal. 1–3 trips per year to head office for training during the first 3 years.
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 4–12 years of B2B outside sales experience with a proven track record of quota attainment, awards, and top-tier peer rankings
  • Outside sales experience is mandatory — candidates whose careers have been primarily inside sales or office-based are not a fit for this role
  • End-user sales experience required — must have sold directly to decision-makers, not through distribution or channel partners
  • Industry experience is not required and not preferred — the company will train the right salesperson on their products and methodology. Backgrounds in facilities services, medical devices, heavy equipment, industrial solutions, manufacturing solutions, technical sales, and similar B2B fields are all relevant.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders and carry 60 lbs of equipment. Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must live in or near the Guelph, Ontario territory — relocation is not supported for this role

  • You will build your pipeline entirely from scratch through cold calling, on-site prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  • Some large national accounts may transition to your territory over time, but the first 1–2 years are pure hunting.
OVERNIGHT TRAVELLess than 5%. Travel is limited to 1–3 training trips per year to the head office in the United States during the first 3 years. No regular overnight travel is required within the territory.SUPPORT & TRAINING
