While collaborating with the Project Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for the subcontractors on site to ensure timely completion of activities as per the construction contract as well as:
  • Leading and managing the on-site construction team
  • Coordinating and overseeing all work on-site
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met
  • Attending meetings with the client, vendors, and external partners
  • Leading and managing the on-site construction team

  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with on-site safety, cleanliness, and orderliness
  • Overseeing assistant site superintendent in issues of daily field reports
  • Conducting inspections as required per local jurisdictional specifications
  • Ensuring daily work reports as well as work plans are up to date
  • Updating the project schedule, managing priorities, and meeting milestones
  • Ensuring deficiencies are managed and correct up to company standards
  • Travelling to construction sites across Ontario, as required.

  • Three to five years and more of Superintendent experience in the ICI industry
  • Technical Diploma in building or construction technology considered an asset
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing construction sites
  • Experience with high-end architectural + millwork packages.
  • Experience with multiple full-cycle new developments (Steel, Formwork, Concrete, Finishing, etc.)
  • Proficiency with project management software including MS Project, Procore, etc.
  • Excellent mastery of reading plans and specifications with experience of the site
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
